Sharmila Joshi of Prabhudas Lilladher is of the view that one can sell MTNL on recovery.

Joshi told CNBC-TV18, "Among the telecom space possibly MTNL has really nothing to recommend to itself in terms of file the numbers or the way the stock price has moved but simply because it is at the level that it is at its probably not the best price to exit at. So one just wait for markets to recover a little and then exit MTNL. I would recommend if you want to stay with telecom get into some other telecom, one of the private telecom plays, mobile plays rather than staying with MTNL because we have seen that we have had so many good announcements come in a way with they are getting preference for 3G and so many other things happening whether it was a real estate story sometime back or whatever but it is not really pulled MTNL out of that range that it is in. Perhaps only because the price is where it is otherwise I would recommend a hold because it does not seem like a price to sell but when it recovers I would really recommend a sell."
